  • The Kuwait's Constitution, 1963

The Constitution of Kuwait1 states in its 21st Article that “Natural resources and all revenues there from are the property of the State. It shall ensure their preservation and proper exploitation, due regard being given to the requirements of State security and the national economy.”

The Enactment on the Environmental Protection (only in Arabic), 1980, establishes the Council for Environmental protection and propose general policies for environmental protection.
