Protection of the environment or natural resources is not mentioned in the Constitution of Singapore, 1963.

In 1999, the Government of Singapore enacted the Environmental Protection and Management Act, an Act “to consolidate the laws relating to environmental pollution control, to provide for the protection and management of the environment and resource conservation, and for purposes connected therewith.”
